I have always love keitais so I was looking for a new flip phone to take the place of my note 8. It does practically all the things a normal android phone would do and the simplicity of the phone makes it eye catching to many people. ( I got pink) It works just fine with my network At&t and the internet connection works as well. One thing I would say is when you use internet the battery might drain a little faster. But really a wonderful phone! Mr. Tominaga is very helpful and replies so fast to any questions I have. By far the best purchase for a phone I have made!:) Thank You KYOEX

I've always wanted to have a flip phone, and I was so happy when I stumbled upon this website.
I've never had a flip phone growing up, and now I finally bought this! It even comes with my favorite color pink!

The phone is great, it is exactly as I expected it to be. This is my 2nd Japanese Flip phone and I love it even more. It was worth all the money spent. :)
The owner of KyoEx also replies very fast to queries and clarifications.
I would love to order again after some time.
Keep up the good work!

I've wanted a phone like this for ages and I could never get one. Until now :-)
Thankfully, even at this age of bar smartphones, getting a flip phone does not automatically mean an incredible downgrade. Not if you're buying a flip smartphone from Japan! That's because this phone really does run Android which means you will not be far away from your apps if you're moving from a normal smartphone. Granted, you may not be able to install some apps while some others won't run. Still, I've not found much amiss. I've found alternatives and they've worked well to my purposes.
(You won't have the Play Store, it's an alternative app market, so you might want to be extra careful with the apps you install. If you don't want to use this alternative market, you can just send apps from a normal smartphone to your Aquos Keitai 2.)
It took a bit of time getting used to, especially the typing since I'm coming from SwiftKey. It was no problem though because it's so easy to learn. I've only had the phone for less than a couple of weeks and typing is so much easier now. As for the rest of the interface, it's no problem at all. It's so intuitive and there's nothing to worry about.
The Touch Cruiser Ex is a great tool as well. So, for apps not fully compatible with the directional keys, you can just turn on the Touch Cruiser and use they keypad like you would a touchpad on a laptop.
Appearance-wise, I was pleasantly surprised. Frankly, I had misgivings as this was not my first choice in the Kyoto Exports catalog. Now I firmly believe that the photos do not do the phone any justice at all! It's so much sharper that I thought it would be. Externally, it is extremely well-designed. (The push-to-flip-open button is also fun.)
Photos are good and the built-in code reader is a nice bonus. Only, I should note that it doesn't have flash.
Battery life is excellent! It has as much staying power as described.
Communications work wonderful. Calls and SMS work without issue. Phone book is a bit different but you'll get used to it.
Price-wise, it's rather expensive for someone like me. Bit over-budget as well but it's worth it.
A great bonus: MIL-STD-810G Military Grade shockproofing, Waterproofing, and Dustproofing. I don't drop phones very much but it's great not to have to worry about it.
Overall, it's much worth it.
(I should mention: KyoEx is very accommodating. I had so many questions before I could make the purchase and they answered them all promptly. I'm glad to have found this shop. Thank you, KyoEx!)
