1. Great phone and customer service!

   I have used the phone for a while and it's pretty responsive, especially the cursor feature. I like the shortcut buttons as well. Shipping was surprisingly fast, it took a week to ship.
   
   I had to configure the APN manually but I was able to smoothly use my 3G/4G network afterwards. There was also no english manual sent with the phone but I was able to find a pdf version online. It takes a bit of getting used to but the phone is really great if you want to cut down screen time while staying in touch with people using Whatsapp or Telegram.
   
   I also had several questions regarding the phone before I bought it and Kazuto Tominaga was the best in answering all of my queries. He was very patient and answered all of my questions the best that he can and provided recommendations as well. Parcel was shipped nicely as well.
   
   I would be coming back to buy from KyoEx again if I ever need to.

2. I love it!

   Great phone and fantastic customer service. Shipping was very fast despite COVID19 and the phone arrived well protected and secure.
   
   The KYF31 's cursor functionality surprised me with how responsive it is. Connects to wifi and loads pages in the browser quite fast. I was even able to download Discord and send messages in no time. Call quality is pretty good and the caller on the line couldn't tell I was calling from a flip phone.
   10/10
   
   If I ever decide to get another phone, Im definitely coming back to Kyoex!

4. Solid phone on first impressions

   To put things in perspective, I am writing from a viewpoint of someone who prefers the old style phones and not smart phones with touch screens. My views are from someone who wants a phone to serve basic telecommunication needs and doesn't care if I can't access twitter or facebook or other social media through my phone.
   
   First of all I am extremely grateful to Kyoex for answering my multiple questions, as a buyer from Australia who has always wanted to try one of the fabled Japanese flip phones. My order was packed properly, and I am grateful for all the help and service that I can only say has been excellent.
   
   To the phone itself:
   To consider longevity I had to get one which is Android powered.
   
   Personally I would have liked another proprietary operating system, but I think that is pretty difficult to find nowadays. I decided on the Gratina 4G rather than other brands because of the comparably affordable price as well as the later release date.
   
   These are my personal initial opinions of using the Gratina 4G for a few days:
   
   The phone itself feels much more compact and solid than from its description and specifications.
   
   To my use the screen size is adequate for navigating basic necessities such as SMS, dialing numbers, simple calendar, and calculator functions.
   
   I only need to take photos infrequently. The included camera will never beat something with a larger lens if professional quality photography is needed, but for day to day documentation of places and things I think its adequate.
   
   In my efforts to get a good enough feature phone that can work with 3G/ 4G since the 2G network has been switched off in Australia, I have recently tried the Nokia 2720 Flip phone and Nokia 3310. The way that the menu is designed feels similar to these phones (and probably any other phone nowadays). There is limited personalization for the way the basic functions can be displayed, but since the Gratina OS is Android based, I think most of the context might be familiar to everyone.
   
   The text entry for SMS on the Gratina is not as good as the Nokias. Perhaps because the Gratina 4G was primarily aimed for the Japanese market, text entry in English will take some getting used to. The text prediction is much less easy to use with seemingly extra steps at confirming your choices. I don't consider that a deal breaker and hope that with some getting used to things will be fine.
   
   There is very little lag when activating different apps, something which I see regularly in the newer Nokias with the truly horrible KaiOS.
   
   The keypad is made from material that has a firm rubbery feel that looks like it will last, and it has a good tactile feel which I find comfortable to tap on. The whole keypad itself has the ability to function as a touch pad that you can control an onscreen cursor. I have never seen this before so I thought it was pretty fancy.
   
   Call quality was excellent. While I recognize it does depend on the network, from the calls that I made the volume was good and I can be heard clearly.
   
   I have rated it 4 stars because I have fonder feelings of how OSes were designed before, and I still struggle to understand why new doesn't mean more usable as feature phones evolved to survive while smart phones took over the world.
   
   However, first impressions of the physical construction is very good and I hope it will serve me well in the way I use phones: make calls and message with when I need to and some basic functions like calendar and alarms, and with an affordable price.
