  1. Great Phone and Great Site to buy.

Posted by Tdot on 16th Dec 2014

I bought this phone for my girlfriend and she loves it. It was suppose to be a Christmas present but she opened the package as soon as it arrive at our place and ruined the surprise gift. I was actually quite surprised on the quality and would get one myself in the future.

While the price may be a high for a flip phone, the quality of the phone is great. We reside in Canada and it works flawlessly with our network which is Rogers. But, as others may have mentioned and noted on the site you will not get internet data and use the japan only features.

Otherwise, the phone exceeded her expectations in quality and functionality. She just wishes there was a way to get more Machi-chara characters since apparently it is only available to download if you are a subscriber in Japan.

As for Kyoto Exports, I would highly recommend them if you are ever thinking of buying any of these phones, they answered all my questions and are every truthful in what you can expect out of their products from pros to cons.

  2. great keitai ever

I'm speechless about this keitai. It's awesome and exquisite phone ever. Kyoex and Mr Tominaga very helpful. Thanks for your help. Mind to buy from kyoex next time. :)

  3. Beautiful Flip Phone from an Outstanding Seller

Posted by Unknown on 15th Nov 2014

Kazuto and I have already sent dozens of messages back and forth from the very beginning when I first showed interest in the phone.

When I inquired more details about the product and ultimately whether or not it would suit my needs, he was polite, informative, and honest, providing me with any and all kinds of details I asked for. I found his opinion very helpful in deciding to buy the device as I don't know much about cell phones being the troglodyte that I am...

...which really came to bite him back later as I came back time after time with a torrent of basic questions like "How do I connect to Wi-Fi?" or "How do I connect the phone to my computer?" or random unrelated chitchat like "What do you think of this plan?" or "Can I really go out with this garakei in this day and age?" He responded quickly every time with a great deal of patience, cordiality, but most of all his years of experience selling Japanese phones internationally. All of which was a lifesaver for me as I don't know very much about these gadgets and am a bit of a worrywart. Kazuto is definitely some kind of superhuman when it comes maintaining good customer relations, so definitely don't hold back as individuals (and the majority of companies too) who can back the products they sell online are few and far between in ensuring your satisfaction for years to come.

I was pleasantly surprised when I didn't pay anything extra at the post office - note I live in Canada. I do a decent amount of online shopping, and the packaging was among the most impressive I've ever seen - there must've been at least three different types of sealed air. The contents had that very nice "new" right out of the box scent preserved.

More about the phone itself, I decided to get the white Fujitsu F-02D. Kazuto was able to give me a good deal as well (this is important for me or I end up suffering buyer's remorse), so a great big thank you! The phone exterior is very beautiful and shiny, yet sturdy and easy to clean thanks to IPX8 waterproof rating (up to 1.5m for 30 minutes in tap water is completely safe).

The screen size quite large especially for a flip phone, with high pixel density and 3D support (it can also convert pictures to 3D as well - I like looking at the 3D home-screen of my favourite anime). The F-02D also features touchscreen, both in "open" style and "flip" style, which allows the main touchscreen to be seen when the phone is closed, mimicking smartphone design. I had to find out specifically whether or not it supported "multi" touch but I guess everything is nowadays, including this phone.

The main reason this phone is like the best though is because of the camera. Although I've also heard good things about the competing Sharp and NEC flip phone cameras as well, I am amazed by the level of detail this CMOS camera captures at 16.3 MP. It uses Exmor R (Sony's camera engine, good for low-light shooting) and Milbeaut (Fujitsu's camera engine, not sure exactly what its reputed for, but it's good). There are a ton of useful settings and effects, but my favourite which seems to get the best picture is appropriately named "best shot", which takes 7 pictures quickly back to back, and selects the best one, though you can keep all of them if you wish. I finally have a very nice camera! Which I can use to take pictures of everything everywhere I go, like the scenery or food at the restaurant...I was very sad I did not have a device to take pictures on my last vacation...I have been living in the dark ages haven't I...?

Fingerprint sensor works very well - you pass the first joint of your chosen finger and it takes little to no time to authenticate...it is just me or am I too easily amused?

Oh, yes, I guess most people really like this phone because of the lights, which I don't use very often because I am worried for the lifetime of the lights - I want it working for as long as possible. Made in Japan though where labour is expensive so it is probably not a concern...but anyways this phone was part of the Style lineup from Docomo...the lights on the keypad and the side of the phone have all kinds of colours - the transitions are very smooth and just like in one of the video reviews, it's like the phone "breathes" rainbows or something. Keep in mind though that it does consume the battery life more quickly, though the phone does come with a "eco" mode, which disables the conglomerate of features to conserve battery life.

Ah right, the web browsing is really nice and it works decent on the phone. It is nice to read manga in the bath...I am a bath person. It's definitely usable but I still prefer the computer for any serious work though, for obvious reasons...

Of course, the "phone" part functionality works spectacular, as expected. Wouldn't it be weird if it didn't? I am using it as my main lines of communication now and I like speaker phone as it keeps the receiver away from my head. There's also a little answering machine you can set up so you can handle your own voicemail independent of your provider - didn't know you could do that.

I am scared now that people are terribly jealous of my phone so I keep a proxy throwaway phone in public just in case someone demands my phone or something. I'm not giving this up.

Wow, I am really random and I end up writing a lot...but random is honest so I hope this helps you get an idea if this is right for you!

  4. Cute Phone :)

Posted by DaiFlu on 2nd Feb 2014

I have the pink version of this phone. It looks great and feels light and handy. It met most of my expectations and the lights are just kawaii.

I give it 4 stars though, because of some features of the phone that can't be really used. I know that some applications only work inside Japan and I have come to accept that. The only thing i found not so useful is the WiFi, which i know added to the cost of the phone. Flip phones without wifi are about $200 lesser. WiFi is okay but the browser is very slow. So if you are used to smartphones, don't expect the same browsing experience on this flip phone. But beside this, everything is good.

As for the seller, Mr. Tominaga as usual is very accommodating. Unlocking and preparing of item for shipment is within the stated period. I received the item within 2 weeks from placement of order. Furthermore, Mr. Tominaga was kind enough to entertain my inquiries about the phone.

Overall, Kyoex is your best bet in finding your dream keitai denwa. You can ask the seller for any questions before purchasing the item.

Kyoex: simply fast and reliable. \m/
